Unwrought aluminium stocks up

Western world unwrought aluminium stocks rose to 1.707 million tonnes at the end of August, compared with a revised 1.592 million in July, industry data showed on Friday. Unwrought stocks stood at 1.596 million in August 2007, provisional International Aluminium Institute (IAI) figures showed. Total aluminium smelter stocks excluding finished end-products rose to 3.026 million tonnes at the end of August 2008 (2.948 million).
