Metal prices rise a tad

Prices of copper, brass and lead moved up moderately on the non-ferrous metal market on Tuesday on renewed industrial demand, while nickel eased on lack of demand from industrial users. Copper cable scrap rose by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 374, copper wire bar by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 402, copper scrap heavy by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 369 and copper utensils scrap by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 347. Copper armiture, brass utensils scrap and lead also ended higher by a rupee a kg each to Rs 364, Rs 254 and Rs 106 respectively. However, nickel dropped by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 995.
