Copper moves up on demand

Prices of tin, copper, brass and zinc firmed up moderately in a mixed non-ferrous metal market on Monday due to good demand from industrial users. Tin rose by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 1,075, copper sheets cutting by Rs 4 a kg to Rs 361 and brass sheets cutting by Rs 4 a kg to Rs 264. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature and copper wire bar moved up by Rs 3 a kg each to Rs 371, Rs 367, Rs 363 and Rs 399 respectively. Copper utensils scrap and zinc also ended higher by Rs 2 a kg each to Rs 345 and Rs 103 respectively. Nickel moved down by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 997 and brass utensils scrap by Re 1 a kg to Rs 253.
