Tokyo rubber futures were well-supported on Tuesday as lingering concerns over tight supplies boosted the front-month contract after the August contract expired at a historic high the previous day. The new benchmark February contract on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange closed at ¥312.3 per kg after debuting at ¥312.2. It hit an intraday high of ¥314.3, matching the peak reached on Aug. 14.
