World aluminium stocks gain

Total world aluminium inventories in July 2008 rose by 39,000 tonnes to 2.865 million tonnes, from 2.826 million tonnes in June, according to figures released Tuesday by the International Aluminium Institute. July's figure was down 2,000 tonnes from the July 2007 inventory figure of 2.867 million tonnes.
