Tin prices firm on global cues

Tin prices gained sharply in a mixed non-ferrous metal market on Tuesday due to renewed industrial demand coupled with higher advices from London Metal Exchange (LME). Nickel, copper and brass declined on lack of demand from industrial users. Tin rose by Rs 30 a kg to Rs 1,070 from Rs 1,040. Nickel fell by Rs 15 a kg to Rs 1,030 from Rs 1,045. Copper utensils scrap also moved down by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 335, brass sheets cutting by Rs 2 a kg and copper armature by Re 1 a kg to Rs 355.
