Metals recover on global cues

Barring zinc, prices of nickel, tin, copper and brass recovered moderately in the non-ferrous metal market on Thursday on good industrial demand coupled with higher advices from the London Metal Exchange. Prices of nickel shot up by Rs 25 a kg to Rs 1,035 from Rs 1,010, tin by Rs 17 a kg to 1,027. Lead and aluminium utensils also showed a mere fifty paise rise a kg to Rs 107 and Rs 111 respectively. Zinc lost Rs 2 a kg to Rs 101 and aluminium ingots by Re 1 a kg to Rs 141.
