Nickel dips on lack of demand

Prices of nickel, aluminium and zinc moved down moderately on lack of industrial demand while that of tin and copper moved up owing to increased buying by industrial users on Monday. Nickel fell by Rs 10 a kg to Rs 1,040 from Rs 1,050, aluminium utensils scrap by Re 1 a kg to Rs 112 and zinc by Re 1 a kg to Rs 106. Tin rose by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 1,155 and copper armature by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 374. Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheets cutting and brass sheets cutting also ended higher by Re 1 a kg to Rs 383, Rs 411, Rs 370 and Rs 266 respectively.

New Delhi: The wholesale prices of zinc, nickel rose in the range of Rs 2-5 a kg on Monday. Zinc gained Rs 2 at Rs 105 a kg, while nickel plate (4x4) rose by Rs 5 at Rs 1,105-1,115 a kg.
