Tokyo rubber rallies 3%, ends above ¥346

Tokyo rubber futures rallied on Friday, snapping a four-day losing streak to rise 3 per cent on renewed strength in crude oil, and finish the day above ¥346. The key Tokyo Commodity Exchange rubber contract for December delivery hit an intra-day high of ¥346.6 a kg, up ¥10.8 or 3.2 per cent, before easing a touch to close at ¥346.4. Rubber inventories in warehouses monitored by the Shanghai Futures Exchange rose 18 per cent in the week ended on Thursday, the exchange said on Friday.
