Spot rubber prices recover

The domestic rubber prices recovered on Friday. Covering groups kept the market visibly on the higher side as trend setting international indices turned better. Sheet rubber RSS 4 closed at Rs 131.50 a kg against Rs 129.50 a kg on Thursday. The volumes were low while the trend was mixed.

JULY FUTURES REBOUND

The July contract for RSS 3 bounced back to ¥ 344.8 ( Rs 139.24) from ¥ 335.2, August to ¥ 344.4 ( 334.3), September to ¥ 343.9 ( 334.5), October to ¥ 345 ( 334.9), November to ¥ 345.8 ( 335.5) and December to ¥ 346.4 ( 335.8) a kg at TOCOM. Its spot firmed up to Rs 138.76 ( 138.27) a kg at Bangkok. Spot prices were ( Rs/ kg): RSS- 4: 130.75 ( 129.50); RSS- 5: 128.75 ( 128); ungraded: 126.75 ( 126); ISNR 20: 129 ( 129) and latex 60 per cent: 88.50 ( 88.50).
