February aluminium output up

The International Aluminium Institute said, average daily aluminium production rose to 66,800 tonnes in February from 65,100 tonnes a year earlier. Output climbed to 1.87 million tonnes last month, 2.6 percent more than a year earlier, the London based institute said in an email report. The data don’t include figures from china, the world’s largest producer of the metal. In February the China’s output rose 40 percent to 936,000 tonnes, the IAI said in a report posted on its website. January production was 958,000 tonnes.
