Mixed trend in metal prices

Prices of copper moved up in a mixed non-ferrous metal market here today due to good industrial demand. Prices of nickel, aluminium and brass sheet cuttings declined owing to lack of demand from industrial users. Copper sheet cuttings rose by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 372, copper cable scrap by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 388 and copper armiture by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 375. Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap, copper wirebar and brass utensils scrap also ended higher by a Re 1 a kg each to Rs 382, Rs 343, Rs 416 and Rs 252 respectively. However, nickel fell by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 1,170, brass sheet cuttings by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 266, aluminium ingots by Re 1 a kg to Rs 148 and aluminium utensil scraps by Re 1 a kg to Rs 113.
