Unwrought aluminium stocks down

Western world unwrought aluminium stocks fell to 1.569 million tonnes at the end of April, compared with a 1.607 million in March, provisional International Aluminium Institute (IAI) figures showed on Tuesday. Unwrought stocks stood at 1.596 million tonnes in April 2007, IAI figures showed. Total aluminium smelter stocks excluding finished end-products rose slightly to 2.851 million tonnes at the end of April versus 2.849 million in March, but fell from 2.941 million in April 2007.
