Nickel slips on reduced offtake

The wholesale prices of nickel fell by Rs 5 a kg in the local market on Tuesday on stockists selling, triggered by weak trend at London Metal Exchange. Traders said apart from weak trends at London Metal Exchange (LME) fall in demand from steel makers also attributed fall in nickel prices on the domestic markets. Nickel plate 4x4 softened by Rs 5 at Rs 1,230-1,320 per kg.
