Metals up on industrial demand

The wholesale prices of tin ingot and nickel rose up to Rs 10 a kg in the local market on Monday on increased demand from consuming industries. Tin ingot prices were up by Rs 10 at Rs 1,200 per kg, while zinc ingot (Hindsutan) up by Re 1 at Rs 116 a kg. Copper wire bar prices were up by Rs 10 at Rs 375 a kg while lead ingot (Hindsutan Zinc) rose by Re 1 at Rs 116 a kg on increased demand from batter makers. Traders said activity was subdued as London Metal Exchange remained closed.
