Copper, nickel prices firm

Prices of copper, tin and nickel firmed up smartly in the non-ferrous metal market on Thursday due to good industrial demand coupled with positive advices from London Metal Exchange (LME). Zinc and brass sheets cutting, however, eased on lack of industrial support. Copper cable scrap firmed up by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 372, copper wire bar Rs 6 per kg to Rs 400, copper scrap heavy by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 365, nickel by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1425, tin by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 910, copper sheets cutting by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 350, copper utensils scrap by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 330, copper armature by Re 1 per kg to Rs 353 and brass utensils scrap by Re 1 per kg to Rs 252. Zinc looked down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 123 and brass sheet cutting by Re 1 per kg to Rs 260.
