Aluminium output up 8%

State-run and private companies produced around 1.13 million tonnes of aluminium in the first 11 months of this fiscal year, up 8 per cent from the same period a year earlier, data from Ministry of Mines showed. The country produced around 6,42,915 tonnes of copper during the same period, up 11 per cent on year, the data showed. The country produced 3,97,800 tonnes of zinc, up from 3,44,786 tonnes a year earlier, and 52,276 tonnes of lead, up around 28 per cent on year. Gold production totalled 10.93 tonnes, down from 11.71 tonnes a year earlier. The Ministry didn't give any reasons for the output changes.
