Actually they take the used plastic like milk bottles and give the second life. Usually they used the bottles which having the recycling symbol (They do not take soda cans). First they clean the bottle with contaminants like oil to up to 99.9%
As a First step they grind up the plastic. Once the bottle got grinded the material comes down through the bottom of the grinding machine which is then passed through a conveyor and stored in the container or in some bucket.
Second step is making this grained plastic in to useful products. These grinded plastic bottles are mixed with some color concentrate and stabilizers in a hopper and are transferred to the extrusion part of the machine. Here the material is melted at 475o Fahrenheit. The melted plastic is pushed under pressure through the blocks. The blocks are large hydraulic pistons with 300 tons of pressure. This huge pressure is required to move the viscous material to the mould.
