Marisa explains how she incorporates eco-friendly practices into something as routine as going shopping. To go to the shop, she has 4 options: her car, her bike, public transit, or walking. She decides to live green and opts for her bike. Marisa carries with her, her packsack where she can pack her IDs and things inside while she goes shopping-to avoid the use of plastics. She uses a stainless steel water bottle. At the store, she buys rechargeable batteries which last longer and are recyclable. Then she goes ahead to buy toothpaste which is vegan and contains all natural ingredients that are least harmful to the environment (the shorter the list of ingredients, the better). It's advisable to go for fluoride-free toothpaste. Avoid the toothpastes that contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and check whether the company does not do animal testing. See whether the product has got a call-to-free number. Whatever you get for less money, you get sugar in your toothpaste and a bunch of chemicals.
