Metals up on global cues

Metal p0rices firmed up by Rs.5 to Rs.10 a kg in the non-ferrous metal market on Friday on steep rise in London Metal Exchange (LME) amid speculative buying by stockists and consuming industries. Nickel plate (4x4), (9x9), and (4x24) all moved up by Rs.10 each to Rs.1,365-1,525, Rs,.1,395-1,515 and Rs.1,395-1,525 a kg respectively. Zinc slab and dross also marked ahead by Rs.5 to settle at Rs.163 and Rs.,133 a kg respectively. Copper wire scrap, copper super d rod, copper wire bar, copper mixed scrap and c c rod all went up by Rs.5 each to settle at Rs.343, Rs.363, Rs.368, Rs.323 and Rs.358 per kg respectively.
