Hind Copper plans to double output

Hindustan Copper Ltd said it plans to increase copper output in two of its mines in the northern province of Rajsthan to 2 million tonnes from the current 1 million tonnes within four years. The company has invited an expression of interest, valid until November 2, to develop 42,000 meters of the mines. In the financial year that began in April and ended in March, HCL produced 3.3 million tonnes of copper.
