Hind Zinc lowers product prices

Hindustan Zinc Ltd lowered prices of the metal after raising it last week to match global rates. The price was lowered by Rs.1,600 or 1.1 per cent, to Rs.144,500 a tonne, the Udaipur-based company said in an e-mailed statement on Sept.1. The company last raised prices by Rs.1,100 on Aug.27. Lead prices were raised by Rs.11,000 or .03 per cent, to Rs.148,000 a tonne. The new prices took effect starting September 1.
