Nickel firms up further

Nickel prices moved up further on the non-ferrous metal market on Wednesday due to persistent industrial demand coupled with higher advices from London Metal Exchange. Other metals, like copper, tin, brass, aluminium, zinc and lead eased on lack of industrial demand. Nickel firmed up by Rs.10 per kg to Rs.1,480 from Rs.1,470 previously. Tin dropped by Rs.15 per kg to Rs.750, copper cable scrap to Rs.359, copper scrap heavy Rs.354, copper armature to Rs.345, copper utensils scrap to Rs.318, copper wire bar to Rs.386, copper sheets cutting to Rs.342, brass utensils scrap to Rs.255, brass sheets cutting to Rs.270, aluminium ingots to Rs.136, aluminium utensils scrap to Rs.113, zinc to Rs.185 and lead to Rs.113.
