World aluminium stocks down

Western world unwrought aluminium stocks fell to 1.192 million tonnes in June from a revised 1.306 million tonnes in May, industry data showed on Monday. Unwrought stocks stood at 1.223 million tonnes in June 2009, provisional data from International Aluminium Institute ( IAI) figures showed. Total aluminium smelter stocks excluding finished end- products fell to 2.255 million tonnes at the end of June from a revised 2.394 million tonnes in May. — Reuters
