Nickel declines on sluggish demand

Nickel and copper prices declined in a mixed nonferrous metal market on Monday due to sluggish demand from consumer industries. Brass, aluminium and zinc moved up marginally on mild buying from consumer industries. Nickel dropped by Rs 10 a kg to Rs 1,055. Copper scrap heavy and copper utensils scrap, both dipped by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 361 and Rs 335 respectively. Copper cable scrap, copper armature, copper wire bar and copper sheets cutting, all softened by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 367, Rs 354, Rs 395 and Rs 351 respectively. Brass sheets cutting edged up by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 264. Aluminium utensils scrap and zinc inched up by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 97 and Rs 129 respectively.
