Mixed trend in rubber

Kottayam, Feb. 27

Spot rubber witnessed a mixed trend on Saturday. The undercurrent appeared firm in continuation of the bullish sentiments following the union budget. Sheet rubber improved to Rs 142 from Rs 141.50 a kg mainly on weekend covering purchases. The trend was mixed as ungraded rubber and ISNR 20 finished flat amidst comparatively dull volumes.

The March futures improved marginally to Rs 143.33 (143.12), April to Rs 148.25 (147.63), May to Rs 151.01 (150.62) and June to Rs 153.17 (152.60) a kg for RSS 4 on National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).

Spot prices were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 142 (141.50); RSS-5: 138 (137.50); ungraded: 137 (137); ISNR 20: 136.50 (136.50) and latex 60 per cent: 91 (91).
