Nickel improves on demand

Amixed trend was noticed on the non-ferrous metal market on Monday as prices of nickel, copper and lead rose moderately on increased demand from industrial users. Nickel rose by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 895 and copper armature by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 326. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap and copper wire bar firmed up by Rs 2 a kg each to Rs 337, Rs 331, Rs 303 and 364 respectively. Lead inched up by Re 1 a kg to Rs 104. Aluminium utensils scrap fell by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 90. Copper sheets cutting, brass utensils scrap, aluminium ingots and tin all moved down by Rs 2 a kg

each to Rs 320, Rs 227, Rs 115 and Rs 888 respectively. —PTI
