Nalco sells aluminium at premium

National Aluminium Co Ltd (Nalco) sold 5,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots a a premium of $76 a tonne to LME cash price on a c.i.f basis, a senior official in the company said on Friday. The buyer was the European trading firm Trafigura, said the official, who has direct knowledge of the deal. The shipment will take place from July onwards in batches, the official said. Nalco, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark, last sold aluminium last week at $83.33 a tonne over LME, also to Trafigura.
