Nickel gains on industrial demand

Select base metals strengthened in the wholesale non-ferrous metal market on Monday on the back of pick-up in demand from consuming industries. Traders said besides pick-up in demand from consuming industries, higher outside advices also influenced the trading sentiments. Nickel plate 4x4, 9x9 and 4x24 were up by Rs.10 each at Rs.2,285-2,335, Rs.2,285 and Rs.2,285-2,355 respectively. Tin ingot and solder (40 per cent) were up by Rs.5 each at Rs.775 and Rs.230 per kg respectively.
