Shanghai copper stocks down

Copper inventories in warehouses monitored by the Shanghai Futures Exchange fell 17 per cent in the week ended Thursday, while aluminium inventories rose 1 per cent, an exchange source said on Friday. The exchange later confirmed the figures. Copper inventories fell to 16,297 tonnes from 19,698 tonnes the previous week. Aluminium inventories rose to 205,933 tonnes from 203,005 tonnes the week before. Zinc inventories fell to 67,064 tonnes from 67,148 tonnes the previous week.
