Mixed trend in metal prices

Prices of copper moved down due to slowing demand from industrial users coupled with lower LME advices while brass and lead recovered on renewed industrial support in a subdued non-ferrous metal market on Tuesday. Copper utensils scrap fell by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 231. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature and copper wire bar moved down by Rs 2 a kg each to Rs 247, Rs 244, Rs 242 and Rs 275 respectively. Copper sheets cutting also ended slightly lower by Re 1 a kg to Rs 240. Brass sheets cutting firmed up by Rs 4 a kg to Rs 185, brass utensils scrap by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 178 and lead by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 87.
