Nickel gains on industrial demand

Prices of nickel, tin, copper firmed up further on the local non-ferrous metal market on Tuesday on sustained industrial demand coupled with higher LME advices. Nickel shot up by Rs.20 per kg to Rs.2,300, tin by Rs.10 per kg to Rs.730, copper utensils scrap by 10 per kg to Rs.318, copper sheets cutting by Rs.10 per kg to Rs.345,copper armature by Rs.7 per kg to Rs.350, copper scrap heavy by Rs.7 per kg to 355,copper wire bar by Rs.7 per kg to Rs390, copper cable scrap by Rs.6 per kg to Rs.362, brass utensils scarp by Rs.2 per kg to Rs.255, brass sheets cutting by Rs.2 per kg to 263 and aluminium ingots by Re.1 to Rs.142 per kg. However, aluminium utensils scrap edged down to Rs119 from Rs119.50.
