Global copper output may rise

World copper supply is likely to exceed demand by 270,000 tonnes in 20007, the international Copper Study Group said in a release. Lisbon-based ICSG predicted global refined copper production in 20007 would rise 4.3 per cent to 18.07 million tonnes, while world demand would rise 4.7 per cent to 17.80 million. The group expects global copper mine output to rise 6.3 per cent to 15.97 million tones.
