Sharp fall in tin, nickel

Prices of tin and nickel fell sharply on the non-ferrous metal market on Tuesday on stockists offering on the back of lower advices from London Metal Exchange (LME). Other metals also moved down on lack of industrial demand. Tin dropped sharply by Rs 50 a kg to Rs 1,090 from Rs 1,140 followed by nickel by Rs 20 a kg to Rs 1,030 from Rs 1,050. Copper sheets cutting fell by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 357, copper armature by Rs 4 a kg to Rs 358, copper scrap heavy by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 363, copper utensils scrap by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 340, copper cable scrap by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 369, copper wire bar by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 397, brass utensils scrap by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 250, brass sheets cutting by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 262, zinc by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 100 and lead by Re 1 a kg to Rs 105.
