Copper firm on global cues

Prices of copper and brass firmed up smartly on the non-ferrous metal market on Wednesday due to good industrial demandNickel, tin and lead also moved up on increased demand from industrial users. Nickel shot up by Rs 15 a kg to Rs 1,045, tin by Rs 15 a kg to Rs 1,085, copper armature by Rs 7 a kg to Rs 362, copper sheets cutting by Rs 7 a kg to Rs 359, copper cable scrap by Rs 6 a kg to Rs 371, copper scrap heavy by Rs 6 a kg to Rs 366, copper wire bar by Rs 6 a kg to Rs 399, copper utensils scrap by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 340, brass sheets cutting by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 265, lead by Rs 2 a kg to Rs 107 and brass utensils scrap by Re 1 a kg to Rs 251. Aluminium ingots eased by Re 1 a kg to Rs 140 from Rs 141.
