Sharp fall in nickel

Nickel prices declined sharply on the local non-ferrous metal market on Wednesday on stockists’ offerings in view of fall in the London Metal Exchange (LME). Copper cable scrap, copper armature, copper utensils scarp and brass sheets cutting also moved down due to lack of industrial demand. Nickel dropped by Rs.50 per kg to Rs.1,850 from Rs.1900 previously, copper cable scrap eased by Rs.2 per kg to Rs.355, copper armature to Rs.344 per kg, copper utensils scrap to Rs.313 per kg and brass sheets cutting to Rs.270 per kg.
